   Weaker Tones Take Over the Livestock Complex by Thursday's End

   Heading into Friday's market, keep a close eye on the cash complex as
there's only been minimal trade thus far in the North.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

   The livestock complex ended the day mostly lower as the cattle contracts
grew anxious waiting for cash trade to develop, and the lean hog complex grew
nervous waiting for the afternoon's Quarterly Hogs and Pigs report to be
published. Bids of $350 were offered throughout the day but no large volumes
sold. December corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is
up $1.80. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 161.61 points and the NASDAQ
is up 3.33 points.
