Canadian ethanol producer GreenField Ethanol Friday received the first delivery of corn to its new Johnstown plant in Eastern Ontario, scheduled to open in December 2008, according to CNW Group. "GreenField is posting bids on its website (www.greenfieldethanol.com) for corn delivered to the 200-million-liter (about 53 million gallons) Johnstown plant," CNW said.

Distributor Sentenced in Butter Contamination
A Wisconsin company was found guilty of shipping contaminated butter to locations from Wisconsin to Minnesota, the Associated Press reported. A federal magistrate judge fined Woodville Warehousing and Distributing $4,000 after a state inspector found contaminated butter and equipment that wasn't approved for dairy process.
