 Midwest Agri-Service was founded in the fall of 2000. Upon graduation from college, Rusty Packer took a Seed Dealership and purchased GPS equipment to start a mapping and soil Sampling business.
This was the thrust of Midwest Agri-Service until the spring of 2004 when Rusty’s father asked him if he could find him a price for Aztec 2.1. After a few phone calls Rusty procured the product from a wholesaler and our Chemical business was born. Later in 2004 a 144x60 warehouse and a 24x32 office were constructed on his parent’s farm.
In 2004 Rusty also started Legacy Seeds Genetics. Corn, Soybeans, Alfalfa and other small seeds are available under the Legacy Seeds Brand. In 2006 he added wholesale Fertilizers to the Midwest Agri-Service offerings.
This is a Family Business with Rusty’s wife, his parents and father-in-law involved in various aspects of the business. In 2007 Rusty added another member to the team specializing in the corn side of the business.
