Steve Kite, Superintendent of elevators
Scott Cooperative is fortunate to have Steve Kite on its management staff.
Though he began his tenure as superintendent in June, 1998, he brings with him 23 years experience in the grain storage industry.
Steve is proud to be a Scott City native, a member of the Class of 1976, and a twin! Following high school, he received his Associate of Arts degree in business from Barton County Community College, Great Bend, Kansas. In 1978, Steve started his career in the grain industry at Boulware Grain, Modoc, Kansas, as an elevator operator. He came to Scott Coop in 1992 as an elevator operator. With the purchase of facilities from Bunge Corporation in May of 1994, he assumed responsibility of the Grigston branch elevator.
We look forward to many years with Steve at the helm! Scott Cooperative's reputation as a grain handler ultimately comes back to its elevator superintendent. We feel we have one of the best in the business. Steve, with the help of his staff, operates our grain facilities with pride --- and it shows! Steve's philosophy of putting the customer first and delivering the best possible service is evident every day.
